Collection: Sensory toys

When we think of sensory toys, we often think of kinetic sand and play rice. But sensory toys can also be made of fabric. This creates less mess while stimulating all the senses. I make sensory beanbags , play cloths , sensory balloon balls , and baby hand kites .

The benefits of sensory toys

Sensory toys are fantastic for a child's development because they stimulate and develop the senses. This stimulates brain development, hand-eye coordination, and memory. An added benefit of sensory toys is that they help your child relax and process and regulate stimuli. Sensory toys are available for all ages, from babies to teenagers and even adults.

Open-ended sensory toys

The sensory toys I make are not only sensory but also open-ended . They are toys without instructions, without a set pattern, and with no standard outcome. They stimulate a child's imagination because they can let their own imagination run wild. Your child decides what it represents and what it's for. And this can change with every play. The toys are open-ended, so there's no right or wrong way to play with them.

Below you will find my handmade sensory bean bags, play cloths, balloon ball and baby hand kites.

Sensory toys for babies

We make baby toys that truly enhance your baby's development. Think of beanbags (also called play bags), soft play cloths , and cheerful hand kites .

We design all our toys to stimulate the senses and help your baby relax and process stimuli. Exactly what children need at this stage.

When does a baby start playing with sensory toys?

As soon as your baby starts reaching for toys, you can start introducing sensory toys. You'll see this development in babies around 3 to 4 months. Offering sensory toys is actually quite simple. For example, place two or three sensory bean bags near your baby. Or make a basket with different kinds of sensory toys. This is called a treasure basket.

Treasure basket for babies

A treasure basket is a basket containing various items with different textures. These can be (safe) household items. But you can also make treasure baskets with sensory toys. Try filling a basket with a play side, two sensory bags, and a baby hand kite. Read more about treasure baskets here .
